The Saint John’s Bible Unbound Collection Unveiled at Gallery Showing
Excelsior, Minnesota– The creators of The Saint John’s Bible were proud to unveil The Unbound Collection: Selected Pages from The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition at two recent gallery showings.
The Unbound Collection is exactly what it sounds like. Eighteen rare, unbound pages from the masterful and historic The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition have been kept safe since the artistic team first completed the Heritage Editions in 2013 and are now available for individual or institutional acquisition.
Art Rocks Gallery in Excelsior, Minnesota hosted the two showings, which took place on Saturday, June 20 and Monday, June 22, 2026. Though the first events are complete, all 18 unbound pages remain on public display at Art Rocks Gallery, which can be found at 345 Water St, Excelsior, MN 55331 and reached by phone at (612) 859-1818.
“This is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to acquire individual pages from the Heritage Editions, and the energy was palpable in the room,” said Rev. Dr. John F. Ross, Executive Director of The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program. “Thank you to Chip and Brenda Ray for having us at Art Rocks Gallery, and to the team at John Roberts for keeping these masterful pages safe for the last thirteen years, so that they can be enjoyed in this new iteration today.”
Attendees got the first chance to experience and purchase these truly unique unbound pages, of which only fifteen exist. At each event, Tim Ternes, Curator of The Saint John’s Bible, spoke to the artistry of the pages before attendees got the chance to sit with the illuminations. While many had experienced the Heritage Edition before, others were seeing the illuminations in person for the very first time.
The Unbound Collection pages are printed and embossed on 100% cotton and offered as a limited series of hand-numbered and authenticated pieces. Each page is a whole new way to experience the sacred words of scripture. Saint John’s Abbey Woodworking hand-crafted the frames used for the gallery showings. These are also available for purchase.
All proceeds from The Unbound Collection will go towards funding the binding of The Saint John’s Bible original manuscript. Click here to read more about the binding process.
