The Saint John’s Bible Gallery showcases 28 original pages from the seven volumes of The Saint John’s Bible in a student-curated exhibition. Rare books and manuscripts from the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library collections complement the exhibition of the bifolia. Tools, materials and sketches used in the creation of The Saint John’s Bible give a glimpse into the processes used to create this monumental work of faith and art.
The gallery is open from Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Starting Saturday, June 6 through August 22, the Bible Gallery is also open on Saturdays from noon until 4:00 p.m. There is no admission charge, and no reservations are needed for a self-guided tour. Guided tours for groups of ten or more are available by making a reservation in advance by contacting Tim Ternes at 320-363-3351 or tternes@csbsju.edu.

2026 Holiday Closures
The current exhibition in The Saint John’s Bible Gallery features 28 original manuscript pages. This exhibition explores what it means to surrender, with an emphasis on who, or what we surrender to, both individually and as a wider society. Additionally, this exhibition addresses what it means or looks like to be selfless in your own life and encourages you to think about your own limits to selflessness. Visitors are encouraged to engage in this theme using the For Further Thought questions that accompany each page. Some highlights of the exhibition include The Ten Commandments, Ecclesiastes Frontispiece, The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Life of Paul, and Call of Samuel. This exhibition will remain through June 2027, but individual pages may be changed due to conservation needs.
