Gift or Buy a Heritage Edition

Gift or Buy a Heritage Edition

Three generations of one family gather around the Gospels & Acts volume with friends and neighbors.

How do I purchase a Heritage Edition?

The Heritage Program is the only authorized source for the acquisition of an authentic Heritage Edition of The Saint John’s Bible.

Gifting Model

If you plan to gift the Heritage Edition directly to a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit:

  • You can give designated funds to the organization who will make payment to Saint John’s University OR make payment directly to Saint John’s University.
  • This payment should qualify as a tax-deductible charitable gift, but we encourage you to consult with your tax advisor.
  • The seven-volume set must be delivered to the address of the non-profit institution.

Ownership Model

If you plan to keep the Heritage Edition in your home or private office:

  • Make the payment directly to Saint John’s University.
  • This payment will not qualify as a tax-deductible charitable gift.
  • If you decide to make the Heritage Edition an in-kind gift to a qualified 501(c)(3) in the future, the tax-related implications are determined between you and the institution.

Process Overview

  • A Letter of Commitment (LOC) is written and signed spelling out the precise details of the acquisition.
  • A numbered and authenticated Heritage Edition is set aside and held for this new steward.
  • Once payment is received, the seven-volume set is boxed, crated, and shipped to the address provided in the LOC.
  • All complementary items and experiences are provided based on coordination and collaboration between you and The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program staff members.

To initiate the process above based on which model suits your needs, please email Rev. Dr. John F. Ross at jross001@csbsju.edu or call the Heritage Program office at 320-363-3209.
