Brother Simon-Hoa Phan, OSB holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in film and video from the California Institute of the Arts. His undergraduate studies were in philosophy, theology, and fine arts.

He currently teaches design and video art at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University and produces documentary films, animations, and video installations.
